JLPFI : LET THE RUMORS DIE AND MAKE THE BULLETS FLY IN JULY!

John Lewis • Jul 03, 2020
JLPFI would like to send this message loud and clear. To all of our loyal clients, partners in business and future clients. We are here to stand together in confidence and full intention to preserve our 2nd Amendment rights as law abiding citizens in this great country we call our home.....America! Amid all the rumors and fake news, the truth remains that we are individually blessed with freedoms that so many countries can only dream about. Let each one of us make a promise to ourselves to remain loyal to our beliefs in goodness, integrity, moral fortitude, liberty and ultimately the pursuit of our own happiness. As we celebrate the birth of American Independence please reflect on this statement: "I have seen a land shining with goodness, where each man protects his brother's dignity as readily as his own, where war and want have ceased and all races live under the same law of love and honor. I have seen a land bright with truth, where a man's word is his pledge and falsehood is banished, where children sleep safe in their mother's arms and never know fear or pain. I have seen a land where authority extends their hands in justice rather than reach for the gun; where mercy, kindness, and compassion flow like deep water over the land, and men revere virtue, revere truth, revere beauty, above comfort, pleasure or selfish gain. A land where peace reigns in the hill, and love like a fire from every hearth."

No matter what your belief system is, we all have a continued opportunity to share the excitement of what tomorrow will bring without the shadow of doubt hovering over us!

Why are the gun shelves so bare?
Gun sales soar 145% in June amid protests, coronavirus pandemic.
More than 2.39M guns sold in June nationwide!
All the handguns and personal defense shotguns that once sat so long the gun shelves have now become the personal property of a first time gun owner or additional inventory of the traditional firearms enthusiast. The discoveries of what it takes to just make a purchase of a firearm in California are overwhelming to most. JLPFI respectfully acknowledges all federal firearms licenses dealers across this state that must take time to explain to each new potential owner all of the intricate details involved with purchasing a firearm.
California has incrementally invented laws to make purchasing a firearm a very costly and time consuming event!
JLPFI believes there should be an educational campaign to align potential firearms purchasers with what all is required to relieve the employees of federal firearm licensed dealers from endless minutes of explanation. The sales force of any California firearms dealer has a multi-faceted responsibility to guide each new owner from start to finish on the protocols of choosing the right weapon, administering a Firearm Safety Test and issuing a Firearm Safety Certificate, requesting additional documentation that must all have matching addresses including a California Drivers License or ID. In addition the purchaser must provide proof of residency with 2 documents such as a vehicle registration or utility bill. Then the new owner must demonstrate how to properly handle, load with a dummy round and unload the weapon they just purchased. Once all these requirements are satisfied, the California 10 day waiting period begins which lately could be up to 30 days for the Department of Justice to determine a persons eligibility to possess a firearm.
Then there are the fees. A fee to take a test. A fee to complete a background check. And now an extra fee to complete a background check on the ammunition one is purchasing.
In summary, JLPFI salutes you the customer and the firearms dealer you choose, to carry out the lawful transfer of that weapon. Then the real journey begins of responsible firearm ownership. To keep it locked up when not in direct possession for defensive use. To abide by all the laws in addition that come into play once that weapon becomes your personal property. JLPFI encourages each and every owner to read that instruction manual and sign up for a course that properly guides you to a safe journey of firearms ownership!

JLPFI wishes to thank all of those who participated in our June course offerings. We set another record month of meeting new clients who completed the 8 hour initial CCW course and also new firearms owners that had the opportunity to receive a SAFE introduction to firearms.
JLPFI had the pleasure of welcoming back Mr. Johnny Noyan of First Defense Firearms Training to the firing line! Johnny was a team teacher with John Lewis during the Herb Bauer day's and was greatly missed by many when Herb Bauer's closed up. Mr. Noyan has committed to resume team teaching with JLPFI on occasion to energize our firing line with safety, demonstrations and malfunction protocols!
JLPFI continues to offer weekday initial CCW discussions, 4 hour CCW renewals and new firearm owner orientation courses.
Sun Mountain Gun Club is blazing with new shooters and offers the best assortment of range facilities in Central California. JLPFI recommends each of you to take that short drive to Coarsegold, experience what Sun Mountain Gun Club has to offer and join the club with your very own membership!
Firearms and ammunition continue to be very challenging to source. Our team dealers, Turners Outdoorsman Fresno and Halfcocked Gunsmithing, are doing everything they can to fill their stores with inventory. Patience is key during this very difficult time and please understand that you will be waited on courteously by these establishments.
July is a great month to join JLPFI early on the range! We are booking training appointments as early as 6am on our private access range in Sanger to beat the heat! The sound of gunfire is the best kind of wake up call for you to stay sharp with your concealed weapons skills!
Our 2 hour sessions are compressed with up to 6 missions to complete from the holster with 200 rounds of ammunition. You will be challenged and humbled with each and every session.
We look forward to hearing from you.
JLPFI wishes all of our clients a HAPPY 4th of July!
