WHO YOU GONNA CALL?
When the time comes, you will default to your training!

Welcome to JLPFI's Dads and Grads, Summer blog! Half of this year has blown by with many new and returning clients experiencing lifesaving training from JLPFI! Don't let the title of this blog confuse you. It's a question of who you might call to prepare yourself for a self-defense situation. JLPFI outdoor firearms training is ever evolving, and the realistic techniques, scenarios and stress inoculation is far superior to any "training" you could receive from an indoor range! We pride ourselves in making sure your confidence, skill level and split-second decision making is lawful and justified in whatever environment you are in. JLPFI hopes none of our clients ever need to default to our training in a self-defense situation, but in the case that they must, JLPFI equips each of our clients with all of the protocols before, during and after the event. We have added new clients and said farewell to others over the past 6 months as the news of sickness or death is relayed. Other clients decided to move out of California or choose the convenience of taking an online course or "cheaper class". All of these reasons are valid, yet JLPFI has always produced quality verses value! We never waiver from our commitment to train each of our clients with dignity, respect, and subtle but firm enforcement of safety and acceleration of learning methods. Here is a recent testimony of one of JLPFI's monthly membership clients:
JLPFI provides outstanding real-world firearms training that prepares you to manage the chaos of actual defensive situations. In addition to teaching the fundamentals, John incorporates movement, malfunction drills, low-light shooting, use of cover, and decision-making involving both hostile and friendly targets.
I chose JLPFI for my CCW course because the training goes far beyond simply shooting at a static target, like my previous CCW class. John also took the time to help me select the equipment that best fit my needs and intended use.
I’ve also completed a tactical shotgun course with JLPFI, and it was both challenging and enjoyable. The class emphasized movement, reloads, and shooting effectively from behind cover, giving me practical skills I could apply outside of the range.
I highly recommend JLPFI to anyone, whether you’re a first-time firearm owner looking to build a solid foundation, or an experienced shooter wanting to sharpen and expand your skills.

Maintenence Required!

Introducing the new Smith and Wesson Bodyguard .380 Semi-Auto 10 rd. pistol approved for California! JLPFI recently experienced this weapon on the range with very positive results downrange. This weapon has a built in compensator (slotted barrel) for recoil reduction. JLPFI reminds all of you responsible gun owners and concealed carry folks to always clean your new weapon before you fire it! The weapon may sit in a box for a few months before it is in your possession. Firearm manufacturers do lubricate new weapons when they leave the factory, but that lubricant could dry up by the time you attempt to shoot it on the range! Beware, adequate lubrication on any new or used weapon is a must for trouble free operation. Everyday carry and transporting firearms, allows environmental contaminants to enter your weapon along with range training use. JLPFI recommends Slip 2000 https://slip2000.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopQvRAGHjFInKcpz9-yxp9shMr4qryal8_lpOKGEeJfUYHzybKh as our premier cleaning product of choice along with Super Brush Swab Its https://swab-its.com/collections/top-selling-gun-cleaning-products?page=1 to detail clean all of the moving parts of your weapon! The safety switch on the weapon pictured would hardly move without lubrication. New weapons require break in time and regular maintenance. Skip complications and malfunctions by keeping your weapon clean and ready for the next JLPFI training session or a self-defense situation.
Stay tuned as JLPFI will produce another blog soon packed with dealer updates, legislative and jurisdiction updates. Until then, stay safe, train often and stock up on ammo!
